    New bug, anyone know these?

Sometimes in the Spring or Fall we get a day or two of boxelder bug swarms. I know the bugs pretty well and usually spray with Tempo and that seems to get rid of them in a day or two. Also they don't seem to move around much at night which allows me to paint outfits at night without worrying about them getting into the wet paint. They don't seem to hurt any plants and are just mostly a nuisance for a few days. They also seem to stay on the sides that are in the sun.

In the past we've had a day or two where flying ants swarm, again Tempo seems to take care of those.

Yesterday we started getting swarms of these bugs:

I've heard that these are swarming as far as 60 miles West of us and no one seems to have ever seen these bugs before. They are all over my buildings and the leaves on most of our trees, I sprayed Tempo last night and it seems to kill the ones it hits but I can't tell if the residual is killing them like it does for the boxelder bugs. I was wondering if any of you have seen these things and know anything about them?

Do they move around at night?
Do they eat or bit any plants or people?

I've got a pickup box to paint and I sure don't want them in the wet paint, so if they don't move around at night I can at least paint after dark?

    Thanks for any info.

    ~Mike
