Found a use for free cedar

We're supposed to get 1 to 2 feet of snow this weekend, going to be hard on the flowers and trees that have leafed out. Decided to use garbage cans and 5 gallon buckets and a wheel barrow to cover what I can of the wife's flowers.

Built this quick to try to protect her tulips along our shed, could work in case of hail too (assuming it holds up to the snow).

This is the position it will hopefully be in most times, I don't think it's to ugly?

Here it is setup for the prediction of snow, not sure it could handle the weight of 2 foot of wet snow, guess we'll see what happens.

    Thanks ~Mike

    Leo,
We usually get a heavy wet snow the end of April, this time it's a bit late. Usually in April the trees haven't leafed out yet and flower bulbs are barely coming threw the soil, this late it can cause some damage to trees and plants.

    Thanks ~Mike

So far it's working as expected, course we got warm enough that some of the snow melted but we're supposed to get 8to 10 more inches tonight with temps around 25 and 5 to 8 more inches tomorrow with a high of 32, that could pile up some heavy wet snow.

I just planted a Canadian Cherry last week, the limbs were sagging just from the rain last night so I tied the limbs together upright but this morning the little bit of snow had it bent in half so I put a garbage bag around it and used my 8' ladder to hold it up.

It got windy enough to try to tip my ladder over so I added some weight to hold it down. What a pain.

    Thanks ~Mike

We're getting snow also. Not a lot and mostly above 6,000 feet.
