    Anniversary Plaque

Since my office manager has been with me for 5 years I wanted to give her something special. She really deserves more since she has to put up with me every day, however, this and a couple of gift cards will have to do.

Made from mahogany and maple the plaque is 7 1/2 X 10 and 1 1/8 thick. Had the laser engraving done at a local trophy shop - really made the piece special. This is my first real attempt at inlayed wood, and while it has a few gaps, I'm pretty happy with it. I love trying new techniques.

PS - Gonna have to give up on taking "portrait" pictures with iPad - just can't get them to turn right in these posts. Sorry about that but you're just gonna have to tilt your head.
