    Another cedar bowl

This bowl is a little more than 11 inches across and 6 inches high. It took a while to carve the flutes and the grain started making it look like a sea shell so I painted some seahorses on the inside. I'm trying something different with metallic paints. Bottom still needs sanding and finish.

Nice bowl. It is different for sure. I really like the interior with the sea horses. I'm still thinking about the carving. It definitely was a lot of work, I imagine the end grain carving was tough. I like the carving but maybe if it was a little more subdued might help. Really like you work.

Joanne I really like this. A couple of things, what sort of cedar is it? Are you aware that there are quite a few of us who embellish our work similar to yours with routers?
