    Lidded potpouri vessel

Glued up a 3/4" walnut 1" Juniper(cedar) 1/4"curly maple and 1" Juniper last night. Took me about 6 hours to turn this, I don't know if that's slow but it seems kind of a long time?

The lid is from a piece of 1" thick Juniper, the final is bocote. The "pot" is 4" tall and 6" in diameter, the lid is about 6" tall with the final.

Spraying some aresol can of Krylon Satin clear on it, all I had left in spray cans. Can't say I like the smell of this stuff. Smells a little like diesel fuel to me.

What do you think of it?

    Thanks ~Mike

Thumbs up Re: Lidded potpouri vessel

Great looking combination of contrasting timbers.
    Well done.

Innovation is the process that renews something that already exists and not, as is commonly assumed, the introduction of something new.

Well, puts the one I am making to shame! But, gives me a goal to work towards.
Did you finish completely with krylon?
