    I'm baaaaack...

Hi, everybody. Iím not sure who all will remember me Ė I kind of dropped out of sight shortly after the move from the old forum. I had some problems handling an extended period of unemployment after 30 years or so of continuous work in architecture. Iíve been employed now for a little over 3 years, but in a job thatís not in my field, and that I *really* donít care for. But thatís not important.

The important thing is Iím back and have been lurking a bit lately and thought Iíd actually pop up and say hi to the old gang. Iíve not done much woodworking over the last couple of years other than recreating a bird feeder for my SIL after weather destroyed the one her late father made for her. But my wife has big plans for me to finally do the living room built-ins so we can send the old store-bought shelving units to my basement music/exercise room. Iíd been meaning to get around to this for a few years and she finally called my bluff by telling me sheíd pop for the big flat screen if I did it. If anyone remembers that odd CD storage credenza I did a few years ago, this will be just as weird/funky, but without all the multi-colored dyed pieces. Plus Iíve been itching to do a prototype end table thatís going to use some of the same forms and techniques as the dining table I've been planning.

Should be a productive year, I hope. All thatís standing in my way (besides constantly getting called in to work on Saturdays) is getting the shop cleaned up and organized, so maybe by posting my intent here, that will force me to get to it. Though they say a good way to hear God laugh is to announce your plans.

Craig good to see you back and gainfully employed. I remember you well and was wondering what had happened to you. Get the shop going and keep us post what you are doing, remember we like pictures.

Welcome back Craig. I was wondering what had become of you just the other day. Glad to hear you're gainfully employed even though it's not what you really want to be doing. Anyway, get that shop cleaned up because I want to see you earn that new TV.

Sure, I remember you, Craig. Glad to see back.

You had just bought a new jointer....left it in the box for awhile.

I'm gonna be in your fair city today. What direction do I wave from the Murat Center?

You must be going to see "The Beatles." You'd wave pretty close to due north.

We're a little farther north than ol' Mike. We can't afford his neighborhood. We're right near the corner of College and 96th.
