    Bullet pens and others

Got a few pen kits that I had ordered this Spring done in the last few days.

this is a pen and pencil set in a gun case.

I think I have all the tubes turned that I need to assemble the kits.

Left to right, box elder burl, black printed circuit board(2), box elder, Hearts, pine bark, cedar burl, buckeye burl, boxelder burl, buckeye burl, stars & strips, Kirinite Patriot, the last on the right is cherry burl.

Here I am laying out the blanks I have ready trying to figure out which to put with which pen/pencil kits.

The 5 on the right are bullet pencil kits.
    Thanks ~Mike

Great group of pens! Looks like you've broken the code on pen turning. I especially like the Bald Eagle kits. I make quite a few of those and they are always popular. I think you're hooked now.

    Nicely done.

    thanks guys.

Wondering what you do with your Plastic turning left overs?

I am forcing a bunch of Hyacinth bulbs in pots was thinking of using this stuff as a decorative mulch?

I always stayed away from the plastic pen blanks in the past because I just thought they should be wood. I still think the wood is "better" but I've got to say it sure goes faster not having to clearcoat the finished pen blanks, just buff and assemble. I use automotive clearcoat with hardener and it works well but adds another day to the process.

    Thanks ~Mike

Cast them in some clear resin. Should make some cool looking blanks.
